Pre-Conference Event -- Adler Institute on Public Safety and Social Justice Presents: "Violence as a Social Determinant of Mental Health"One of the critical social determinants of mental health in disadvantaged communities is violence. This pre-conference aims to explore the ways in which violence impacts mental health and how it can be mitigated. Our keynote speaker is Carl Bell, MD, Director of Public and Community Psychiatry at the University of Illinois. Dr. Bell is a highly influential psychiatrist, scholar, and community activist. Call for PostersThe ISE invites submissions of posters describing social exclusion, poverty, homelessness, discrimination, and other subjects consistent with the theme of its conference: Click here to download the Posters Submission Form Please submit your completed Poster Submission Form including a PDF attachment depicting the poster to ise@adler.edu by April 1, 2010. All posters must be installed at the Conference Site by no later than 9:00 AM and removed by no later than 5:00 PM on June 3, 2010.
