Adler School Receives Innovation in Education Award from APA

Dr. Frank Gruba-McCallister, Dr. Clare Porac, and Dr. Raymond Crossman

The Adler School is one of two recipients of the 2007 Board of Educational Affairs Award for Innovative Practices in Graduate Education in Psychology. This is a significant and prestigious recognition by the American Psychological Association of commitment to educating and training socially responsible psychologists through innovative programs that combine service learning in the form of the Community Service Practicum and course work that will enable Adler School graduates to address a broad range of social issues that impact the clients we serve.

Adler School's application for this award was one of six excellent programs reviewed for this award. As part of this award, the School will receive a check for $2500 and a recognition plaque to be received at the 2008 Annual Meeting of the Council of Graduate Departments of Psychology in San Antonio.
