Minimum Admission Requirements (Psy.D.)

Applicants to this program need to have at least a baccalaureate degree earned from a college or university regionally accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting agency or an equivalent degree from an international college or university. Applicants are typically required to have a grade point average of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale for undergraduate and graduate course work. The GRE and/or GMAT are not required but may be submitted for consideration. Applicants who have a record of commitment to and experience in community service nationally and/or abroad are particularly invited to apply to the doctoral program. Applicants need to have the equivalent of 18 semester credit hours in psychology with grades of "C" or better. These courses should include general or introductory psychology, abnormal psychology, personality theory, and tests and measurements or psychometrics. Practicum or work experience in psychology or a related field is highly desirable and is considered in the evaluation of applicants. Approved applicants will be invited to a personal interview as the final step in the application process.
