The Concentration or Post-Master's Certificate in Art Therapy: Counseling combines presentation of the theories and techniques of art therapy with supervised practicum experience to provide students with training in the use of art as therapy. Students enrolled in a degree program at the Adler School may graduate with a concentration in Art Therapy. Post-Master's students are awarded a certificate. A 700 hour practicum in art therapy under supervision of a registered art therapist (for at least 75 hours) is required.

Graduates of this program need to complete 1500 hours of supervised clinical work in art therapy (direct client contact) in order to apply for registration as an art therapy (ATR) after graduation.
