520 Theories of Psychotherapy
Prerequisite: 472. This course presents an examination and analysis of the major theories, principles, and techniques of psychotherapy. Approaches presented include Freudian, Rogerian, Jungian, Adlerian, existential, humanistic, rational-emotive, and cognitive-behavioral therapies. The influence of sociocultural and historical factors on the development of theories is examined. (3 credits)
