In addition, you will hear from integral campus services such as Admissions, Adler Institutes, and Student Affairs. Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour the campus and attend a financial aid workshop.

  • Silver Screen Series - Tough Issues in Aging (+)

    Join us for a series of critically-acclaimed and award winning films about tough issues that aging adults must consider. We will be joined by directors Stu Maddux and Gordon Quin on their respective viewing nights—each film is followed by a lively audience discussion with
    Dr. Bilkey, the Department Chair of the Gerontological Counseling Program. Refreshments will be served.

  • Parenting Solutions Family Eduction Demonstration (+)

    In this ACGC sponsored event, Dr. Jay Colker of the MAO faculty will talk with a family about common and unique family challenges. Dr. Colker will use this as an opportunity to talk about the Adlerian-based methods of parent-education and child-guidance, including such topics as encouragement, logical consequences and the purposes of childhood behaviors.


    Parents, teachers, parent educators, family counselors, psychology students, and all individuals wanting to learn more about building and maintaining effective relationships among parents and children will benefit from this event.

     

    Dr. Jay Colker has been helping families to stop fighting, to learn effective strategies for overcoming conflicts, and to have fun together for many years. He is the author of the book: What do I do if? Dr. Colker has a rich history of Adlerian-based family education and was mentored by leaders and innovators in Adlerian Family Education. Dr. Colker currently oversees the Parent-Education courses at the Adler School.


    2 CEU hours offered ($20.00 processing fee)
