Dr. Becky Clark will give the keynote presentation, “Out of the Shadows: Empowering Change!” Dr. Becky Clark, LCSW-R, CC-AASP is a licensed psychotherapist in New York City. Dr. Clark received her PhD in Kinesiology with a specialty in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Temple University and a MSW in clinical social work from New York University. Dr. Clark’s sport background includes; playing basketball at the University of Tennessee, winning a gold and two silver medals in volleyball as a Deaf Olympian, fast pitch softball, and has completed seven marathons.
Dr. Clark also was a Torchbearer for the 2002 Winter Olympic Torch Re-lay Team. Dr. Clark served as a Sports Envoy to China to advance disability rights, inclusion, and gender equality for the U.S. Department of State. She also served as an American Cultural Ambassador in the area of sports for the Deaf in Venezuela. Dr. Clark co-chairs the Women Sport International Task Force on Deaf and Hard of Hearing Girls and Women in Sport and serves as a member of the ING New York City Marathon Psyching team.
