Preparing for the EPPP: Navigating the Road to Licensure for Psychologists (+)

This workshop will provide helpful strategies to demystify the study process and maximize candidates’ scores on the EPPP. The topics in this presentation include:
- Describing the format of the EPPP licensing exam
- Discussing a study plan that integrates the Adler School Speed Program
- Reviewing sample exam questions that illustrate the complexity of the EPPP
- Managing test anxiety
A light supper will be served.
The workshop is free to Adler School students and alumni, but reservations are required.

This special event, hosted by Raymond E. Crossman, Ph.D., President of the Adler School, provides an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of our donors.
The evening will include cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, remarks by Dr. Crossman and other key stakeholders across the School community, and a special presentation of the Community Leadership Award to Illinois State Senator Mattie Hunter in recognition of her accomplishments and work for social change and social justice.
Invitations will be mailed in April and alumni and friends are invited to make their gift by May 24, 2013 to be included in the Adler School Honor Roll of Donors and to attend this year’s event.

The Task of Work: A Workplace Issues Conference & Career Fair (+)

This event will bring together students, alumni, business leaders and other members the community. The conference will offer three 50-minute panel sessions that feature experts in organizational psychology to discuss current business needs and workplace issues. Simultaneously, the career fair will allow job-seeking students and alumni to meet with community organizations who will share information and career opportunities. A brief awards ceremony and networking reception will take place from 4:00-5:00pm.
This event is co-sponsored by the Society for Organizational Psychology (SOP) and the Adler School Alumni Association (ASAA).

The focus will be on the development of a Values Statement (otherwise known as an Elevator Pitch). This workshop will help you examine success, values and aspirations to develop your values statement, also known as your elevator pitch. It is critical during a job search that you can clearly and compellingly convey how you impact an organization or group of people through what you offer. It helps others help you. Getting the word out about who you are and how you contribute is at the heart of the job search process. The values statement helps you with branding and positioning on your resume and LinkedIn profiles. Refreshments and materials provided.
$20 for alumni; $10 for students
