We will be having two more Difficult Dialogues events to finish this academic year. We have two invited speakers who are experts in diversity training coming to help us continue our work together. 

May 28 -  Dr. Reginald Nettles

June 25 -  Dr. Kenneth Hardy

The morning will be for all staff, faculty, and administrators to participate and continue our diversity conversations. The afternoon will be for faculty and focus on integration into the curriculum and managing difficult dialogues in the classroom setting. More information to come.

Participants learn to:
 

• View couple distress from an attachment perspective
• Help partners process and shift emotional responses that maintain distress
• Shape key new interaction and bonding events
• Overcome therapeutic impasses

The training includes:
 

• Presentations of theory and clinical techniques
• Observation of live therapy sessions
• Skills training exercises
• Discussion of clinical cases and issues
