The Post-DOMA LGBTQ Immigration Landscape: Challenges & Opportunities for Mental Health Professionals (+)

The Adler School of Professional Psychology and the LGBTQ Immigrant Rights Coalition of Chicago proudly present a panel discussion of the impact the recent Supreme Court ruling on DOMA has had on the LGBTQ immigrant community.
The panel will also examine the role of the social worker and the mental health professional in the immigration process. Moderated by attorney Roberto M. Romero-Perez, co-chair of the LGBT Rights Committee of the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois (HLAI), and Kim Hunt, Executive Director of Affinity Community Services (Affinity), the panel will feature:
- Immigration attorneys Andres Cerritos, Solomon Myers and Vanessa Esparza-Lopez
- Clinical social worker Angela M. Fadragas, a psychotherapist specializing in adult trauma and immigration issues
- Clinical/community psychologist Elena Quintana, Ph.D., Executive Director, the Adler School Institute on Public Safety and Social Justice
