Facebook Page Created to Aid Search Effort for Adler Student David Gimelfarb, an Adler School doctoral student, went missing last week while vacationing in the northern part of Costa Rica. David was traveling independently and not enrolled in an Adler School sponsored program or class. He was last seen entering the Rincon de Veija National Park in Guanecaste at around 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 11th. His parents Rothna and Luda Gimelfarb and friends from Chicago have flown to Costa Rica to help find David. The family has established a Facebook page, 'Help Find David Gimelfarb' which is accessible here (Link) The local authorities have launched an extensive search enlisting the help of Liberian Red Cross. Search efforts have been slowed by the densely forested rugged terrain and additional Red Cross forces have been called in from San Jose to assist with the search efforts. It has been six days and the search teams have not been able to uncover any clues leading to David's whereabouts. The Adler School is working closely with the Gimelfarb family to assist in every possible way to assist with David's safe return. Please keep David in your thoughts and prayers. |
