2011-2012 Standing Committees
Overview of Standing Committees:
- The Alumni Board selects a chairperson for each committee.
- Committees operate and meet throughout the year.
- All Adler School alumni are welcome to join a committee!

Career and Professional Development Committee
Chairpersons: Nancy Ukpe, Vilija Ball, Nancy Farina-Johnston
This committee’s focus is to provide workshops, resources and personnel to assist alumni with all their career-related and professional development needs. This includes, but is not limited to, providing access to career counseling, professional mentorships, membership organizations and associations, and support with licensure exam preparation. This committee will assist the Office of Alumni Relations in developing on-campus programming, as well as content and links to career resources through the “Professional Development” pages on the Adler School website.
Marketing and Communications
Chairperson: Mark Bilkey
This committee focuses on creating new and improved communication tools to connect alumni to their peers, to students, to other practitioners, and to community partners. Committee members will support the efforts of the Office of Alumni Relations by reviewing and contributing content for the ‘Connections’ alumni newsletter, ‘Alumni + Friends’ web pages, and other forms of communications to Adler School alumni.
Social Networking, Awards, and Events Committee
Chairpersons: Timothy Devitt and Tony Labrosse
This committee works with the Office of Alumni Relations to develop and implement alumni programs, events and services that offer social networking opportunities. This includes participation on social media sites for the Adler School and planning of the annual Homecoming Reunion. This committee also provides nominations for annual Outstanding Alumni Awards and Bill Powers Award for Police Psychology.
