Andres Zayas, M.A. ’06, Board President
Andres Zayas earned his Master of Arts in Police Psychology from Adler University. He has been a Chicago Police officer since 1994. Currently, he is assigned to Police Headquarters in the Performance Management Section where he monitors, supervises and provides resources to employees who exhibit performance issues. Andres also served in the U.S. Army and has a strong interest in supporting military veterans. He is also an accomplished photographer.
Patch Laksanaprom, Psy.D ‘12, M.A. ‘11, M.A. ’06, Vice President, Chicago
Dr. Patch earned his Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology (2012), Master of Arts in Counseling (2011) and Master of Arts in Police Psychology (2006) from Adler University. Currently, Dr. Patch is the Lead Advocate of the Performance Management Section of the Chicago Police Department’s Human Resources Division. He is responsible for the enrollment and monitoring of sworn and civilian members into the Fitness for Duty (Psychological), Personal Concerns, Behavioral Intervention and Non-Disciplinary Intervention Programs. Dr. Patch has worked within the Chicago Police Department for over 12 years in the Bureau of Patrol and in the Bureau of Administration serving the community of Chicago. In addition, he is a Chicago Police Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Officer and a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner. Dr. Patch’s psychological specialty is in Police and Forensic Psychology with experiences and training in law enforcement, community mental health, and private practice. He continues to practice as a socially responsible practitioner and engages in community partnerships for social justice as an alumnus of Adler University.
Nicole Maier, M.A. ’08, Vice President, Vancouver
Nicole Maier earned her Master of Arts in Counselling from Adler University. Currently, she is a Registered Clinical Counsellor in private practice working with individuals, families, and couples. Her areas of practice are depression, anxiety, parenting, and relationship issues. Before transition to counselling, Nicole was a nurse; and she continues she works closely with individuals struggling with medical issues. Nicole joined the Adler University Alumni Association board in 2012 and is currently the vice president. She also provides and coordinates counselling services for the Adler University Vancouver Campus.
