Michelle Dennis, Ph.D., PGCE
Program Director, M.A. in Industrial Organizational Psychology
Student engagement is one of the most important driving forces behind educational success and my main goal is to inspire all of mystudents to become fully engaged in the learning process. I aim to provide as many opportunities for interaction within and outside of the virtual classroom as possible. I encourage students to network with one another and with faculty, so as to get the most out of their educational experience as possible. It is my hope that, through mentorship, I can help all of my students to attain their academic goals and to experience success within their careers.
I was drawn to the Adler School because my values are consistent with mission of this school. I aim to inspire my students to realize opportunities for advocacy in their day to day work activities. My goal is to assist in the training and development of agents of social change who will impact the implementation of socially just practices within their communities. Through our example and instruction, faculty of the Adler School have the opportunity to impact the next generation of socially responsible professionals, who will go on to improve communities and increase equality.
I hold a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Marquette University and graduate credentials in training and development and online teaching in higher education from Roosevelt University. I have completed specialized training in corporate business management, coaching and leading and motivating. I have worked as a statistician, researcher and business analyst and I have been serving as an educator for the past 14 years.
