Jennifer Schmidt, Psy.D. Coordinator, Forensic

Jennifer Schmidt, Psy.D.
Staff Psychologist
Coordinator of Forensic Services Program

Licensed Clinical Psychologist since 2008

My clinical experience is broad in scope, and includes individuals in the criminal justice system and the chronically mentally ill. After graduating from Adler University, I became the first dedicated staff psychologist for supervision and training at the Dreikurs Psychological Services Center (within the former Adler School of Professional Psychology) which would transition to Adler Community Health Services (ACHS) in 2010.

Adlerian is the philosophical lens through which I perceive individuals, and from which I teach and train. Dating back to my time as a clinician-in-training, I have continued advancing my professional skills by diversifying my clinical experience and presenting at national conferences. As a certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapy specialist, I strive to approach both clients' wellness and the training of my supervisees from a holistic perspective. I am committed to training future socially responsible practitioners, and believe that training should encompass curiosity, collaboration, and courage.
