Mark Bilkey, Psy.D.
Department Co-Chair, M.A. in Counseling Psychology

Alfred Adler’s Philosophy, Psychological Tenets, Foundational Work in Improving Human Interaction and Social Justice, and Practical yet Profound Interventions dramatically shaped and continue to influence my view of Life, the World, and Others. It was over 20 years ago I gave my first presentation at a North American Society of Adlerian Psychology (NASAP) conference and the passion/desire to share, mentor, and guide others who are seeking Adler’s ideas have only increased since then.

I am a graduate of the Adler School of Professional Psychology (now Adler University) in Chicago and earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology in the 1990’s. I also received specialized training and course work in order to receive a Certificate in Gerontological Psychology. Currently, I am the Director of the Part-Time Clinical Mental Health Counseling program and primarily teach most of the Adlerian Theory and Counseling classes. In addition, I also have over 20 years of counseling, consulting, and coaching experience working primarily with Adults and the Older Adult population and organizations.
