Misty Brown
Program Coordinator

In my work as a teacher and school administrator, I utilized a teaching approach that attended to the student's various learning styles. This approach is influenced by the notion of multiple intelligences, which posits that we all have unique styles of learning and mastering information. These styles, which include visual, verbal, kinesthetic (through movement), among others, are specific to each learner, and an effective teaching style should match their intellectual orientation. I also try to teach academic/scientific material through conversational speech. Through my teaching style, I believe that I can reach the broadest audience while matching to their unique learning style.
