Vaneeta Sandhu, Psy.D., Registered Psychologist (CPBC #2120)
Core Faculty and Training Coordinator
Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology Program

My teaching philosophy focuses on a collaborative environment and fostering the growth of critical thinkers. My goal is to engage students in discussion designed to challenge not only their own values and beliefs but to cultivate the development of professional identity and roles. I strive to create an environment where students share their unique perspectives and exchange ideas to challenge one another’s learning. As part of critical thinking and professional development, I encourage students to become members of the psychological and research communities by becoming members of psychological organizations and participating in workshops, conferences, and seminars.

My experience has been focused in the field of health psychology, as I enjoy working as part of an interdisciplinary team and offering mental health services to individuals for whom it was previously inaccessible. Research interests of mine include quality of life for individuals with chronic illnesses, patient outcomes for integrated treatment services, social determinants of health, and community approaches to public health issues.

My role at Adler University allows me to teach, mentor, and train students who have a commitment to becoming socially responsible practitioners. The dedication of faculty to provide excellent educational and training opportunities and support for students makes for an exciting environment to teach and learn.

Please email or call me (236.521.2494) if you have questions or would like more information about me.
