Englewood Gun Violence Prevention Program
This program has been housed for 3 years in the Institute on Social Exclusion. It is being formalized, manualized, and moved to become chiefly an effort of the IPSSJ. The program aims to serve over 30 boys in Englewood to learn options to gun violence, and to engage in meaningful ways with their communities. Additionally, art therapy is an integral part of this program, and allows youth to express their feelings and perceptions of their surroundings, and of grappling with the violence in their lives.
