Adler University Designated a
2015 Military Friendly School
11.06.15

Adler University has once again been recognized as a Military Friendly School® with leading programs for veterans, Armed Forces members leaving military service, and military spouses.

The annual Military Friendly School® designation recognizes colleges and universities with best practices in support of military students based on 10 indicators of success, including support for student veterans on campus, graduation and employment outcomes, and military spouse policies.

The 2015 designees were identified through extensive research and a data-driven survey open to more than 10,000 Veteran Affairs-approved institutions nationwide. Survey results were independently tested by Ernst & Young LLP and based on weightings and methodology established by Military Friendly® with guidance by a national advisory board of stakeholders in military education.

Adler maintains a long record of involvement with and for students who are active military personnel, veterans, and civilians supporting military members and their families. Military personnel, reservists and veterans make up 8 percent of students enrolled at Adler, located in downtown Chicago.

The University is known for its intensive curriculum and training, as well as nationally recognized programs focused on military mental health, taught by faculty who are experienced military professionals. Offerings include a Psy.D. emphasis and an online M.A. to prepare mental health professionals, military personnel, and others for work with active-duty military members, veterans and their families.

Adler offers scholarships available based on financial need, community service, and more, and is an active participant in the Yellow Ribbon G.I. Education Enhancement Program.
