Chicago Now featured a new project by Dan Cooper, Ph.D., called Chicago's Million Dollar Blocks, a website that tracks how much is spent on incarceration for each block in the city. The site makes a case for justice reinvestment, which Cooper believes would be a less costly and more productive use of resources.

Dr. Cooper is an expert in community development and co-executive director of Adler University's Institute on Social Exclusion.
