02.02.15

In observance of Canada's Psychology Month, CKNW-AM dove into the topic in an interview with Michael Mandrusiak, Psy.D., to discuss the need for creating greater awareness and less stigma of mental illness.

"I think as a society we have a tough time with preventative care," said Dr. Mandrusiak, emphasizing the importance of early intervention in treating mental illness. "We kind of wait until the crisis gets really out of control until we treat it."

Dr. Mandrusiak is a registered psychologist and director of training at Adler University's Vancouver Campus.
