In her role as president of the Illinois Counseling Association, the Adler University's Michele Kerulis, Ed.D., LCPS, CC-AASP, led a women's wellness workshop for the In Her Shoes Foundation--examining wellness and burnout prevention for women.
“The more we sacrifice and give up of ourselves, the higher the likelihood of burnout,” says Dr. Kerulis, Director of the Adler University's M.A. in Counseling: Sport and Health Psychology Specialization program. She also discussed signs of burnout and steps to eliminate stress and achieve wellness, including social connectedness.
