Different Kind of Grief
08.24.11

Mark Bilkey, Psy.D. is Program Director of the Adler School’s M.A. in Gerontological Counseling Program, and Department Co-Chair for the M.A. in Counseling Psychology Program.  Among his activities outside the Adler School, he leads a grief support group through The Anti-Cruelty Society of Chicago, for people grieving the loss of their pets.

"All behavior is purposeful. Yet it is not productive when it interferes with daily living,” as Dr Bilkey notes in this Chicago Tribune story about pet-loss support groups in the Chicago area.
