My classroom is an extremely interactive environment. I encourage healthy discussions beyond the reading material because we are all here to learn from each other. Although counseling is a serious topic, I believe that maintaining a sense of humor is essential to keep our spirits high and our motivation strong. Finally, I work hard to create an environment of trust where students can take risks, try new techniques, and ask hard questions. After all, that is how we learn.

I choose to teach at Adler because of Adler students. They are passionate about learning and are committed to helping those who experience social injustices. As a rehabilitation educator, I find this mind-set to be a perfect match for clinicians-in-training who want to work with individuals with disabilities.
