Orientation is a program requirement for all degree seeking students of Adler School to help with your transition to graduate school. You will not only learn about the school and resources available on and off campus, but you will also get to meet faculty, staff, and your classmates. Orientation is a great way to get connected with other students and explore the city of Chicago.

There are two Orientation Sessions each year. Orientation for students entering in the Fall is held in August. Orientation for students entering in the Spring is held in January.

Here is a checklist of what you will need to do before your orientation date:

1. Immunization: Please turn in your Certificate of Immunization with appropriate immunization records to the Admissions Office.

2. Find housing and make travel arrangements: You can begin your search for housing soon after your admission to Adler School. For a complete guide to settling into Chicago, please click on the Student Life Information Guide link.

3. New Student Contact Form: Please turn in your new student contact form that was mailed to you to the Admissions Office.

4. Complete your financial aid paperwork: Complete your FAFSA and submit your Institutional Financial Aid Application and estimated award letter to the Financial Aid Office. The office will contact you about your final award letter and promissory note.

5. Transfer Credit Request Form: Please fill out the transfer credit request form if necessary and send it in to the Admissions Office.

6. Register for classes: To register for classes, please contact the Admissions Office. You can make an appointment to meet in person or over the telephone if you have access to a fax machine. The admission counselors will help you select your classes for your first term at Adler School.

7. Contact your Student Ambassador: All incoming students will be matched up with a student ambassador who will serve as a peer mentor for you. You can ask your student ambassador questions about the School, housing and the city of Chicago. Student Ambassadors serve as a great resource.
