Current students on the Chicago campus are invited to apply for the 2010-2011 Alfred Adler Scholarship. Scholarship recipients will be selected based on academic performance at the Adler School and a 500 word written statement demonstrating his/her commitment to the Adlerian value of 'social interest' through either a history of or an articulated plan to provide service to their local and greater community. Priority is given to applicants who are committed to working with underserved or marginalized populations.
Required materials: scholarship application and 500 word written statement.
Award Amount: $5000, disbursed over two terms (Fall 2010 and Spring 2011).
GENERAL SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens or eligible permanent residents.
- This scholarship is need-based. The Office of Financial Aid must receive your completed 2010-2011 Free Application for Federal Aid (FAFSA) by the deadline on May 3rd, 2010. FAFSAs must have your completed 2009 tax information to be considered.
- Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 at the Adler School at time of application deadline and have completed at least one semester at the Adler School (Chicago Campus).
- Scholarships are disbursed toward tuition and fees over two terms.
- Students must maintain satisfactory progress in order to maintain eligibility for subsequent allocations of their awards.
- Scholarship recipients may be required to attend a scholarship reception.
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS AND DEADLINE
To apply for this scholarship, students should submit the application (PDF link below) along with the required written statement by 5:00pm on Monday, May 3rd, 2010 to Terri Esch in the Office of Financial Aid.
