Stories | 09.13.17

Twenty-seven times since 2003, longtime Adler faculty member Jerry Westermeyer has traveled to El Salvador, where he works with two NGOs doing community development by supporting a scholarship program to help impoverished students achieve educational goals that would otherwise be out of their reach.

To date, he and close friend John Kukankos have raised nearly $180,000 for the scholarship fund, which currently supports over thirty high school students, seven college students, and one medical student. Westermeyer has been a faculty member at Adler University for 25 years, including 12 years as Director of Training.
