Chicago Tribune Touts Adler University and Thompson Street Opera Event

The Chicago Tribune highlighted an Adler University-sponsored event featuring performers, activists, and artists in a recent lineup of “must-see” Chicago-area classical concerts.

“Faulty Systems” is a collaborative effort with Thompson Street Opera Company and the stage for the Chicago premiere of Joshua Bornfield’s chamber opera “Uncle Alex,” about perils faced by Russian immigrants to the U.S. in the early 20th century.

The event will take place on Saturday, January 27, at 1 p.m., at the Adler University Chicago Campus, 17 N. Dearborn, and will be live-streamed online. It is a continuation of the 2018 Annual Retreat, which centered around the theme, “Ignite, Connect, Push.”
