Adler University Float Spotted at Vancouver Pride Parade

Journalist Charlie Smith from the Georgia Straight spotted Adler University’s float at the Vancouver Pride Parade on August 4. It was one of several secondary institutions and school districts to support the LGBTQ community at the event.

This year, Pride in both Canada and the United States coincided with the 50-year anniversary of the Stonewall Riots in Greenwich Village in New York City, an important marker in the gay rights movement.
