Rob Shah, Ph.D., is the newest core faculty member for the Doctor of Philosophy in Organizational Leadership program offered through the Adler University Online Campus. Serving as an adjunct instructor since 2020, Dr. Shah assumes his new role this month.
“Dr. Shah has been such a valuable member of our team since the launch of our doctoral program,” said Marianne Cabrera Corvera, Ph.D., Organizational Leadership program director. “He truly embodies the scholar-practitioner spirit of our programs, as he brings a blend of extensive professional experience and teaching prowess to how he helps students understand, appreciate, and apply leadership studies concepts.”
Drawn to Adler’s commitment to social justice and innovative education, Dr. Shah aligns with the program’s focus on developing leaders skilled in both management and attuned to social dynamics and ethical considerations.
“What excites me the most about joining this program full-time is the opportunity to engage with a diverse group of students,” Dr. Shah said. “The online platform allows us to connect with learners from various backgrounds and experiences, enriching our discussions and perspectives. I am looking forward to fostering a dynamic learning environment where we can collaboratively explore and address real-world challenges, preparing our students to be influential leaders in their respective fields.”
Prior to coming to the University, Dr. Shah served as a dissertation adviser and mentor at the University of Zambia. He has nearly 20 years of leadership experience with global companies and developed and taught business courses for over 12 years at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. In addition to the University of Zambia, he has served as an adjunct online instructor at Colorado State University, Excelsior College, Virginia College, and Northcentral University.
Adler University’s online Organizational Leadership program prepares students to become innovative and socially conscious leaders in both academic and professional settings. Its graduates will emerge with the skills to create engagement and empowerment, and to understand how to best support teams and other leaders.
