Project Manager,
Center for Diversity and Inclusion
Daniel is the Project Manager for the CDI, with his role focusing on student programming and supporting the Vice President for Diversity & Inclusion. Daniel was originally led to DEI work due to experiencing firsthand the minoritized and mythicized experiences of Middle Eastern and North African people (MENA) in America. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures from the University of Washington-Seattle.
At the University of Washington, Daniel was elected as the Director of Diversity Efforts in undergraduate student government. His endeavors in student government resulted in leading a team of over 20 student leaders in which they expanded the number of identity-based student commissions, increased the number of DEI-based events, bolstered student mentoring programs, and improved disability services and hygiene product access for all students.
