Jamie Citron serves as Chief of Staff and Board Secretary for Adler University. Prior to joining Adler, Jamie spent nearly thirteen years working for President Obama, most recently as Director of Development Strategy at The Obama Foundation.
Previously, he served both inside and outside of government, including as Deputy Director of the White House Visitors Office and as Special Assistant in the Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Jamie began working for then-Senator Obama in early 2007, and served as Director of the LGBTQ Vote and LGBTQ Fundraising Director for the President’s re-election effort, where he oversaw the campaign’s integrated outreach strategy to LGBTQ and allied Americans.
Jamie is a member of the Obama Foundation’s Inclusion Council and serves on the Boards of Directors for Chicago’s Green City Market and the Equality Illinois Institute. Jamie earned his bachelor’s degree from Hampshire College and his master’s from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago, where he also serves as a member of the Harris Alumni Advisory Council.
