Babak Farzaneh is a clinical supervisor at Adler Community Health Services. A graduate of the UBC Counselling Program and a Registered Clinical Counsellor, Babak has over 15 years of clinical experience working with individuals, couples, families, children and adolescents both in Public Service with Child and Youth Mental Health of the Ministry of Children and Family Development as well as community agencies and his own private practice.
Babak has been heavily influenced by the works of Carl Rogers and the Humanistic approaches including Emotionally Focused Therapy as well as Eastern Contemplative traditions particularly Buddhism. Seeing the importance of therapeutic alliances, Babak values the relational bond he forms both personally and professionally with the people around him. On his time off, he has a regular dedicated and disciplined meditation practice and attends solitary meditation retreats whenever time allows. He also enjoys time with family including two dynamic elementary school daughters.
