  • Transformation (IPSSJ Inaugural Fundraiser) (+)

    5:30 PM - 8:00 PM
    Chez (247 E. Ontario, Chicago)

At the Institute for Public Safety and Social Justice we understand that trillions of dollars have been invested in mass incarceration that serves to criminalize whole sections of our city. With our understanding of the trauma that this imposes on families, we work with many community partners and system actors--such as the court system and Illinois Department of Corrections--to create effective ways for communities to reclaim their most vulnerable youth and emerging adults from the clutches of criminalization. JOIN US in visualizing and making possible a new day that invests in the science of DECARCERATION. Your host for this event, IPSSJ Executive Director Elena Quintana, Ph.D., has worked with her staff and partners to curate an event that uniquely allows you to understand how we can and must invest in public safety systems that expand rather than diminish human potential.
