Academic Program Review
Academic Program Review (APR) is a required process for academic programs at Adler University and is designed to be an opportunity to self-assess and continuously improve various aspects of the program and its effectiveness in attaining its goals. This program review policy and procedure strives to inform evidence-based decision-making within each program and across the institution regarding continuous program development, program effectiveness, and advancement of program and university missions.

OIE oversees the following aspects of this process:
- Ensure all offices and individuals involved are aware of expectations and timelines;
- Provide various data to academic leadership to inform the program review report;
- Maintain templates and centralize storage of final reports; and
- Communicate schedules of review to programs.
Related policy and procedure were developed by Academic Affairs in consultation with faculty
administrative leaders, faculty governance bodies, and relevant staff. In addition, it has been
designed to align with best practices for program reviews established in higher education.
Compliance ensures the University’s adherence to requirements of the Higher
