Join us to learn more about our Clinical Psychology degree and Emphasis on Traumatic Stress Psychology by our Traumatic Stress Psychology Emphasis Coordinator Dr. Janna Henning J.D., Psy.D., FT
Dr. Henning is a licensed clinical psychologist and Professor in the Doctor of Clinical Psychology program at Adler University, and is the recipient of a number of awards, including Professor of the Year (elected by Adler University students in 2011) and the Presidential Award from the Society for Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis for leading a number of initiatives to increase diversity and inclusivity in its membership and organizational processes.
This presentation will 1) describe the urgent need for psychologists who are trained in the evidence-based and evidence-informed treatment of trauma-exposed individuals, families, and communities; 2) describe the knowledge and skills needed to effectively and ethically treat trauma-exposed individuals, families, and communities; and 3) describe Adler University’s Traumatic Stress Psychology Emphasis, which is the only comprehensive, coherent, competency-based Emphasis program of its kind, and how it helps support students to reach their goals as future leaders in the traumatic stress field.
