Adler University is welcoming best-selling author and scientist Robin Wall Kimmerer on Jan. 16 for its latest Common Book Author Talk to discuss her award-winning nonfiction book, Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge and the Teachings of Plants.
A member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation and MacArthur Fellow, Kimmerer will also speak with Brianna Savage, manager of Community Action and Engagement at Adler University, on ways to decolonize education by integrating Indigenous and western knowledge. A Q&A with Kimmerer will follow their discussion.
