Individual Psychology Case Formulation

The Individual Psychology case formulation (IPCF) is a set of clinical hypotheses about the direction, force, rhythm and level of activity evident in the psychological movement of the client. The IPCC is co-created with the client over the course of treatment and guides the therapist and client in their decisions about treatment.

Objectives: Participants will be able to:

  1. Identify the key components of and Individual Psychology case formulation
  2. Identify key dimensions of movement in Individual Psychology
  3. Describe a method for hypothesizing a client’s fictional final goal
