Rudolf Dreikurs was a founding member of the American Music Therapy Association. According to him, “Music plays an important role in bringing about therapeutic change for individuals, groups, and the communities that individuals connect themselves to”. The workshop will explore Rudolf Dreikurs ’contributions to music therapy, the significance of music in creating a therapeutic change, promoting a useful striving, and stimulating social interest. The presenter will perform original songs, demonstrating how music can serve to assist individuals with overcoming adversity in their lives.
