Students may opt to enhance their program learning with an emphasis in gender and sexuality studies, which highlights the significant influence and impact of gender and sexuality within culture and society; explores how gender and sexuality shape power dynamics; and looks closely at issues specific to gender and sexual minorities. In addition, students will study the influence of media, law, and policy on gender and sexuality, and the evolution of these intertwined elements.
