Adler University’s Online Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Organizational Leadership program trains students to be scholar-practitioners with the ability to conduct high-quality research on organizational leadership, development, and innovation.

Students of the program will gain the ability to impact organizational and system transformation as well as drive innovation across commercial, public, and social contexts. Solution-building for complex social challenges will be explored in addition to gaining an understanding of socially conscious organizational leadership and how to critically analyze research and data for the strategic and ethical implementation of organizational or societal initiatives.

Additionally, the program focuses on entrepreneurship and innovative leadership, and provides students with innovative, organizational leadership practices that can be applied across a wide range of professional settings.

This 55 credit-hour program includes 34 hours of core coursework, and can be completed in as few as three years of full-time study.

Professional Development & Training

The Social Justice Practicum is an anchor of student learning at Adler University. You’ll gain real-world experience working alongside a partner organization to advance social change in the community. This experiential learning process includes participating in online modules that explore civics, intersectionality, and community organizing and then completing projects that strengthen the social justice missions of our community partners.
