Our Training Programs

Adler Community Health Services' (ACHS) Division of Community Health training programs include a Post-Doctoral Residency; Doctoral Internship in Clinical Psychology; M.A. & Ph.D. practica in the Couple and Family Therapy Training Program; Clinical Psychology advanced psychotherapy, psychotherapy, and assessment externships (also called practica); and M.A. Counseling practica and internships.

Community Mental Health Internship (CMHI) Program

The Community Mental Health Doctoral Internship is accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) and is a member of the Association of Psychology Post-Doctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC).

Couple & Family Therapy Training Program

The Couple & Family Services (CFS) Program trains therapy externs based on standards established by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE) and American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT).

Clinical Psychology Externship Programs

The Clinical Psychology externships trains externs based on the standards established by the American Psychological Association and the scholar-practitioner model of training, as articulated by the National Council of Schools and Programs in Professional Psychology (NCSPP) as the base for its training program.

M.A. Counseling Practica & Internship Program

The M.A. Counseling Practica & Internship Program trains student-clinicians to practice and demonstrate skills in diagnosis and assessment, relationship and rapport building, and counseling interventions and treatment using the model of training as articulated by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs.
