Christine Beecroft, Psy.D.
Staff Psychologist
Coordinator of Community Mental Health Services Program

Licensed Clinical Psychologist since 1987

I value my work in addressing issues embedded in communities which are congruent to our mission of graduating and training socially responsible practitioners. For more than 15 years I have worked as a clinical practitioner with nonprofits and community mental health agencies to treat and consult individuals, couples, families, and groups. I have gained experience working with diverse backgrounds and addressing a variety of presenting issues. Currently I coordinate community mental health services with Adler Community Health Services (ACHS), in partnership with Thresholds' ten facilities throughout the Chicagoland area.

As a clinical psychologist, Adlerian principles guide my work as a clinician, supervisor, and educator. I strive to cultivate a learning atmosphere that is collaborative and underscores the importance of compassion and curiosity. I stay up-to-date on emerging research and clinical practice techniques and convey my takeaways to my students.

My clinical interests are in areas of couple, family and relational issues; depression; and anxiety, and I have taught graduate-level courses in Adlerian Counseling; Ethics; Parenting; Personality; and Child Psychology. I am also in private practice, and am a trained EMDR therapist.
