Chief Aviation Ordinanceman Krystal Peck, M.A. '18, an alumna of the Online Master of Arts in Military Psychology program, returns to active duty after spending five years working as the Director of Veteran Affairs in Gladwin County, Mich.

Peck took a break from active duty to finish her education and start a family but is now serving as a chief in the weapons department aboard the USS Bataan, where she leads and mentors 30 Sailors.

“All Sailors are different, so I acclimatize to a style that is most effective to their individual growth,” said Peck. “Life is a process of constant self-improvement, so mentoring Sailors teaches me things about myself, too.”
