Avalon Recovery Society, a Vancouver nonprofit offering free services to women recovering from addiction, featured the organization’s Social Justice Practicum students for this year, Bojana Nedic, Mercedes Miller, and Michika Hata, on their blog.

The organization offers services, including counselling, drop-in support, childcare, and more to women on the road to recovery.

“Avalon Recovery Society is excited to host three amazing women for their Social Justice Practicum placements over the 2019-2020 academic year!” Avalon Recovery Society shared. “Adler University’s Social Justice Practicum program gives Masters’ students the opportunity to lend their skills and experience to community organizations and work alongside them as agents of social change.”
