Chicago | Clinical Faculty, Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.)
Dr. Charles E. Davis was an associate professor of clinical psychology at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology for over 25 years. He started out as Assistant Director of Training, then Director of Ethnic Racial Student Affairs, and finally as core faculty. He primarily taught Clinical Interviewing and Child and Adolescent Development as first year courses, therapy seminar, and an advanced experiential diversity course.
Dr. Davis graduated with honors from Northwestern University and received his Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has additional experiences working in a community mental health center, a therapeutic day school, programming for clients with developmental/intellectual disabilities, and multiple psychiatric hospitals. Other areas of interest for Dr. Davis include ADHD, multicultural, diversity and cross cultural issues, psychological issues related to African-Americans, and sports psychology. Dr. Davis maintains a private practice in Oak Park, Illinois primarily for clients with ADHD, oppositional defiant and conduct disorders, mood disorders and adjustment disorders.
