Jeffery L. Bankhead is a native of Durant, Mississippi, but currently resides in Houston, Texas. He received his Doctor of Health Sciences Degree, with a concentration in Leadership and Organizational Behavior, from A.T. Still University, a Master’s in Public Health from A.T. Still University, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology/Chemistry (minor) from Georgia State University. His doctoral research focused on perceived stress of telework populations returning to in-person work during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Jeffery Bankhead has worked in the field of public health for over 10 years as an administrator, which includes experience with local, state, and federal government organizations, non-profits, and the private sector. His research interests are in leadership, chronic illness, health equity, work culture, and organizational behavior. He currently is a Research scientist/Study Manager at DLH Corp. He continues to bring a fresh, and relevant approach to effective and healthy organizations leadership in a time of uncertainty. Dr. Bankhead’s experience in public health relates to the spirt of Adler University, which includes community, diversity, social justice, and health equity. Dr. Bankhead’s ultimate goal as a professor is to combine his professional experience and education, to foster vivid discussions and diverse perspectives to create a fruitful learning experience inside the classroom.
