Chicago | Program Director, Counselor Education and Supervision

Stacee L. Reicherzer, Ph.D., LPC-Supervisor (Texas)

Overview

Overview

I’ve been transgender for 30+ years, which I suspect has significantly shaped how I view teaching and learning of coursework. I believe that each student has to take in the course through their own lens, looking at it through their own context. This means that a counselor teaching, supervision, research, or advocacy course all need to be extremely relevant to the student for the worlds they live in, the cultures they are a part of and engage with, and how they view themselves as future leaders and shapers of the counseling profession.
