A Licensed Clinical Professional Counsellor (LCPC), clinical supervisor, and published scholar, Dr. Bonino Sobol has extensive experience serving the Latino/a community in high-need areas near Chicago. Since 2019, she has operated a private Practise, following years of providing psychotherapy to clients transitioning from inpatient services.
Her recent scholarship includes a publication in the Journal of Humanistic Counselling and a presentation at the Illinois Counselling Association’s Fall 2024 Conference on reproductive identity, infertility, and donor conception. Earlier in her career, Dr. Bonino Sobol worked in business operations and information technology before completing her Ph.D. in Counsellor Education and Supervision at Adler University in 2018. Her dissertation examined Counselling students’ belief in the medical model of mental illness in relation to empathy, self-efficacy, personality, and theoretical orientation.
